This is the registration page for Mental Health First Aid for New Hampshire Legal Assistance.

This Mental Health First Aid course is blended, meaning that registrants must fully complete online coursework prior to being able to attend the two half-day Instructor Led Sessions.  The Instructor Led Sessions are scheduled for March 13th from 12:30PM to 4PM via Zoom and April 10th from 12:30PM to 4PM in-person.  Location of in-person session to be determined.

When you register on this website for the class, a profile will be created for you in the Mental Health First Aid Connect online learning system.  You will receive instructions to log into the Connect site, where you will be prompted to change your password.  Once you do so, you will find the online course materials on your dashboard.  Fully complete modules 1-9 (bringing you to the 69% completion threshold) at least one week ahead of the first Instructor Led Session.  WARNING: DO NOT STOP ONLINE COURSEWORK AFTER MODULE 5.  You will receive a congratulatory message for “completing the online course of MHFA”, but this is misleading.  The congratulations message is regarding Module 5 only–you still need to continue and complete modules 6-9.  Only those who fully complete modules 1-9 are allowed in the classes.

The Instructor Led Sessions (Module 10) and three remaining modules (modules 11-13) represent the rest of the entire MHFA course.  Only once you complete all 13 modules are you considered a Certified Mental Health First Aider by the National Council of Mental Wellbeing.  In addition, we are offering 6 CEUs through both the NASW and ANCC for those needing continuing education for social work, mental health counseling or nursing.

This course is free through the SAMHSA MHAT grant.
