Description:
Illness Management and Recovery is a program that helps people set meaningful goals for themselves, acquire information and skills to develop more mastery over their psychiatric illness, and make progress towards their own personal recovery. This training is designed as a beginning, foundation presentation to introduce practitioners to the Evidence Based Practice of IMR with the intention that attendees may immediately begin to use the practice with clients who experience severe mental illness. Practitioners work with clients to develop and use self-management strategies to help them pursue desired recovery goals. This IMR training is based on the NH-BBH recommended IMR curriculum.
Contact Hours:
- The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Northeast MultiState Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The participant will be awarded 12.0 contact hours for attending this program.
- This activity has been approved for 12.0 Category I Continuing Education Credits for relicensure by the NH-NASW – Workshop #3232.
