Janelle Education Fund Awards Scholarships to Children of MHCGM Staff

Nine children of The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) staffers, were recipients of the first Janelle Education Fund awards. The Endowment Fund was started in 2015 by former MHCGM CEO, Peter Janelle and his wife Maureen who retired from The Center after each serving more than 35 years. As supporters of The Center’s mission, their wishes were to support efforts for the future development of a well trained work force and support those who are pursuing advanced education or training.

The Janelle Education Fund initially raised over $250,000 and has grown since its inception. Peter and Maureen Janelle hope to award new scholarships every year to MHCGM staff or children of staff, who meet the following criteria:

For staff members:  courses related to their professional positions given at an accredited vocation/technical school, college or university including community colleges and graduate programs.

For the children of staff members enrolled full or half time in a 2-year, 4-year or graduate degree program:  courses at an accredited vocation/technical school, college or university including community colleges, graduate programs or other training programs beyond high school.
