Center designated as a Recovery Friendly Workplace

After meeting the specific criteria to be designated as a Recovery Friendly Workplace, The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester recently accepted an official certification from the office of Governor Chris Sununu

Led by Governor Chris Sununu, New Hampshire’s  “Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative” promotes individual wellness for Granite Staters by empowering workplaces to provide support for people recovering from substance use disorder. The Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative gives business owners the resources and support they need to foster a supportive environment that encourages the success of their employees in recovery.

This important initiative is aligned with our efforts to promote the Greater Manchester Region as a Recovery Ready Community. Makin’ It Happen is continuing our work with the SUD Continuum to elevate organizational excellence in stigma reduction around mental illness and substance use disorders! MHCGM is a leader in this work, and an example of an organization that supports its workforce with intention and meaning.” said Brian Mooney from Makin it Happen

President and CEO of The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, William Rider said, “The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester supports employees who work together and strive for excellence.  Our employees, like all workers, are vulnerable to a myriad of challenging health conditions. Substance Use disorders are no exception. We simply support all employees in their personal quest for health, wellness and a purposeful life.”
