We offer specialized care to meet the unique needs of seniors and their families. Seniors have particular needs that require different levels of care. Many seniors are quite self-sufficient, but not always able to find a way to face life changes or challenges. They sometimes find themselves wishing they could take some steps to improve their quality of life. For them, counseling, information about resources, and guidance regarding options and how to access them may be all that is needed to get back on track. They are served at our affiliated group practice, Bedford Counseling Associates.
For other older persons, life challenges become more complicated due to memory changes, more serious health problems, loss of mobility, social isolation, a loss of a sense of purpose and other complications. These folks, and often their caregivers, require a more in-depth level of care which is provided at our Community Support Services.
Our counselors are licensed mental health professionals, with advanced training on aging issues. Our medical/psychiatric staff can, when indicated, prescribe and monitor the use of medications that serve to facilitate recovery.
