Professional Resources

Continuing Education

Outside practitioners are welcome to register for most training events MHCGM offers to its own staff. Examples of these high-quality trainings include a focus on specific Evidence-Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing, Ethics, Cultural Competency, to name a few. The MHCGM Grand Rounds series, geared to the needs of medical staff but attended by staff at all levels, are free events held six times each year in our Blodget Conference Room. Finally, our yearly NH Mental Health Symposium is held once a year. It features "bigger name" speaker(s) and topics of wide-interest attended by human services practitioners from across New England.

Consultation and Offsite Training Services

Mental health agencies are constantly being challenged to offer state-of-the-art services to clients affected by mental illness. Let us provide training and consultation services at your site or ours. We specialize in helping administrators, practitioners and supervisors to implement and sustain high quality Evidence-Based Practices at affordable costs. Our long time collaboration with Dartmouth Medical School has allowed us to develop trainers and consultants who understand the research concepts behind specific practices, but also bring with them the experience of real world application of those practices.

The full-time Research Department at MHCGM provides high quality, dependable mental health research for its partners and for its own research projects. We are willing and able to join with Primary Investigators from around the country to carry out their clinical research studies in a responsive, effective and accurate manner. Our Research Department staff has wide experience with a full range of research activities. We also administrate the statewide Institutional Review Board (IRB) for human services research.
