Counseling Services
...offers specialized outpatient counseling to adults with severe mental illness and resulting functional impairments who may need a comprehensive and collaborative approach from a multidisciplinary team.
These individuals often need intensive services in the initial stages of treatment, however, they typically show improvement within one year. An array of services are provided, including an extended evaluation/functional assessment, psychotherapy, medication evaluation and case management. Clinicians work collaboratively with clients to help them access and utilize the resources and support available in the community for their social, educational, and vocational aftercare needs.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy assists adults who experience symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder and adolescents who display self-harming behaviors. Both programs focus on helping clients to learn skills for handling feelings, dealing with other people, and managing crisis without hospitalization or losing support from family, friends or helping professionals.
