Counseling Services
For many adults and children, personal problems can complicate the quality of life. These problems may interfere with relationships, work school, or other daily activities, and finding solutions may require the help of professionals.
Our staff provides a full range of outpatient counseling, psychiatric services, and naturopathic medicine to help people of all ages cope in a positive and healthy manner with a variety of problems including:

Individualized counseling is offered to adults (ages 18 – 65) experiencing personal problems. Treatment services may include:

- Naturopathic Medicine
In addition, services are provided to children of preschool age through 18 years. Our highly trained therapists specialize in treating children and adolescents individually or in groups. The focus is on the timely resolution of problems and learning new ways of coping more constructively. We value the involvement of family and view it as an important part of treatment.
When necessary, an evaluation with a staff psychiatrist or nurse practitioner is scheduled to discuss the need for medication or explore medical issues, which effect emotional health. In meeting your needs, Bedford Counseling Associates recognizes that every individual and family is unique and has specific needs; therefore this program offers the following:

Transitions is a support/skill building group designed for those who are contemplating gastric bypass or lap band surgery or those who have had the surgery and would like additional support. This is an 8-week support group held Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Bedford Counseling Associates.
Naturopathic Medicine is a holistic approach to healthcare utilizing natural therapies such as: clinical nutrition, vitamin and mineral therapies, and botanical medicine. It is integrated with modern medicine and is used at Bedford Counseling Associates to complement other behavioral health interventions.
Mindful Wellness is a skill-building group that enables participants to learn self-directed mind/body techniques to alleviate and enhance the medical management of problems like chronic pain.
Our highly trained counseling staff run this educational program mandated by the court system to parents involved in divorce proceedings. The purpose of the program is to enable parents to better understand their children’s reaction to the changes regarding a divorce and to be supportive of them.
