About Us
Founded in 1960, The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester is the largest organization of its kind in the region. The Center has grown over the last 45 years into one of the nation’s most respected mental health centers, providing service to over 9,000 adults, children and seniors annually. In addition, it is an off-campus training site for residents in psychiatry from Dartmouth Medical School and most of The Center’s medical staff are on the Dartmouth faculty.
We are proud of the fact that mental health professionals from all over the world travel to New Hampshire to study our leading-edge system of care. In recent years, The Center has provided consultation and training to representatives from 27 states and 10 foreign countries including Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Our recovery-oriented approach featuring evidence-based practices, means we are able to provide the right care, at the right time, in the right setting. Offering over 30 programs and delivering services through eight locations, we provide high quality, accessible and comprehensive behavioral health services for the greater Manchester area, enabling our clients to restore the quality of their lives as soon as possible.
