The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester currently has a medical team of seven psychiatrists and eight psychiatric nurse practitioners, some of whom have certification for work with children or seniors. They serve under the direction of our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Quentin Turnbull.
Medical staff are assigned to all of our programs and work collaboratively with counselors and other professional staff. They also work with clients to prescribe and monitor the use of psychiatric medications, review and approve treatment plans, provide consultation to clinical staff, and collaborate with community physicians around medical issues that impact mental health care.
Members of our medical staff also work in our Medication Services program. Medication Services is available to clients of Bedford Counseling Associates as well as to people who have completed their course of treatment at any of the MHCGM programs and need to be monitored for a continuing course of medication.
